"Puppies Are Nice"

There's a reason Trump is signing EO's as if they were major legislation.  It is because he is completely incapable of working with Congress, even the GOP Senate, to get a resolution passed declaring that "Puppies are nice" and everyone should notice that.  He couldn't get the Senate to pass a resolution approving of Mom, apple pie, and the flag, because he wouldn't know how to do it or even where to begin.

He can't do anything as President and he has done nothing as President except sign bills that are put in front of him that his staff tells him to sign (remember when he walked out of the room without signing a bill?  Pence had to run after him with the thing, and Trump just took it with him instead).  He is as functionless as the stuff animals sitting on top of my desk (two versions of Opus the Penguin, from "Bloom County," if you're wondering; I have a third, with Opus in antlers, for Christmas).

And yet he continues to brag about what he has done, which is put up more fencing per foot around the White House than on the Mexican border, and take credit for a bill signed by Obama two years before Trump took office.

Oh, and make a grand public gesture about a lot of EO's, which at best direct federal agencies in how to interpret their rules.  I haven't read this one yet, but already I'm wondering how many chokeholds are employed by federal law enforcement, and whether this EO bans them, or says they are "perfect" and "innocent."*

*I heard a professor on NPR this morning give the textbook example of the "ivory tower," arguing chokeholds are good when done correctly.  Well, obviously people don't die in chokeholds because that's the idea, but this argument that the Big Idea cannot fail, it can only be failed, has this problem that reality overrides wishes and intentions all the time.  Just ask Trump, who can't tell the difference between what he wants and what is real, either.
