The president of the United States accused his predecessor of "treason" yesterday and it's like it never happened. Not treated as a major story basically anywhere. pic.twitter.com/fiDPgHighF— Matthew Gertz (@MattGertz) June 23, 2020
This is not what I had in mind.
Meanwhile, in campaign land news:
More than 6,200. https://t.co/FJFOvmCImm— Rufus Gifford (@rufusgifford) June 23, 2020
And whither Parscale? This is an interesting snippet:
Because he continues secretly paying the wife of one Trump son and the girlfriend of another $180,000 per year using campaign money funneled through his personal business.— S.V. Dáte (@svdate) June 22, 2020
“They can’t fire Brad,” the adviser said. “He’s the paymaster.”
Trump is scamming his campaign the same way he scammed his "foundation." Never doubt it (and why can't that lead to criminal charges in 2021? It's hardly "criminalizing policy differences," which is always the reason not to investigate a former president, though Trump is investigating Obama with zeal.) Reports are he wants Kushner out of the way, too, but if Kushner and Parscale know where the money is going, who does Trump bring in who is more competent but just as loyally corrupt?
'Tis a puzzle....
