Do not keep records of such investigations? How, then, do you prosecute them?State court in Texas issues a statewide injunction against Governor Abbott's order, prohibiting DFPS from investigating families who access gender-affirming care on that basis. We also learned today state officials were instructed to avoid keeping records of such investigations.

You don't, of course. This is all smoke and mirrors by Abbott and Paxton. They know they're playing with nuclear bombs. They have no intention of starting that war. They just want to be Russia, and have you think they would do it.
Actually, it's worse than that, and more cynical. They just want to get their "base" to show up at the polls. Wonder how many of their over-65 voters can't fill out a mail-in ballot correctly anymore?
I will amend and revise my remarks about Paxton’s remarks that any medical treatment for gender dysphoria is child abuse. He knew what he was doing. A) it won’t be in the court record, so it’s unlikely to be discussed in appeals. B) he’s talking to his supporters. He doesn’t care if the courts disagree with him, nor does he want that position used in defense of his opinion or Abbott’s directive. C) He doesn’t care if he terrorizes more families. It’s political theater, nothing more. If he loses the case, he wins. He runs against the courts that want to let people mutilate our children (yes, that argument is bullshit, no he doesn’t care). If he wins the case, he’s once again the savior of good people against the godless child molesters. The Q crowd, IOW, will love it. Or boo the courts in cahoots with the Democrats.
How does this affect ordinary Texans? Paxton doesn’t give a shit.
