Because when the fascist playbook was used on blacks (I’m older than Vindmann, and I was here to see it), it wasn’t a Holocaust because it didn’t involve gas chambers? It did involve a lot of private actors with tacit state support, so was that fundamentally different?Trump is executing the fascist playbook to turn his mob on Jews.

Too often, media lets statements like this be forgotten. Sometimes it doesn't even break through the news cycle. Most of the time, GOP isn't pinned down to tell people if they agree.
It CANNOT happen this time. pic.twitter.com/JqW5nHtFln
Trump's outburst actually illustrates why American Jews are relatively liberal. Anyone with a sense of history knows that whatever group is currently in illiberal crosshairs, the Jews are always next in line https://t.co/atxso1GvTp

There's a simple question that must be asked of every GOP elected official right now-whether they agree with Trump that Jews must "get their act together..before it's too late." It's a yes or no question. No one should be permitted to waffle out of. The media has a role to play.

It’s a good question, and I don’t mean to even suggest denouncing Trump’s anti-semitism is somehow excusing his white supremacy (aware as I am that white supremacists don’t consider Jews to be “white”). It’s just interesting that “never again!” only applies to anti-semitism, but not to racism in general.Do any Republican Party leaders have any comment at all on Trump's admonition to American Jews?
