This Is Not Going To End Well

If Trump had sent in the NG, this probably wouldn’t have happened.

State sovereignty only matters in red states. And then it just means they have to handle their own recovery from natural disasters.
L.A. Mayor Karen Bass: “In the beginning, the [Trump] administration said they were just looking for dangerous felons, violent people. It’s hard to say that that’s what they found in a work place or in a Home Depot parking lot.”
An excuse for this shit.

WSJ Edit Page tonight:

“It’s fanciful to think that raiding restaurants to snatch busboys, or Home Depot to grab stock clerks, won’t inspire a backlash. All the more so when ICE acts in heavy-handed fashion”

Fuck me.
A reason im not moved by the “don’t give the trump administration the pretext they’re looking for” is that we would not dare say that about any anti-authoritarian protest movement in literally any other country
Well...yeah.

And…a reminder.
Another thing to mention for people who don't live in LA.

Most of LA is very chill and peaceful right now. There's a huge Pride fest going on, countless farmer's markets, tourists walking around, families at the parks, people walking their dogs.

It's a big place.
Also, too, as well:
This is important meta analysis. We’re experiencing a national news story with Constitutional crisis implications, but most of LA wouldn’t know it without press.

The population of Los Angeles County is larger than 42 states. This place is ginormous.
How big?
1 in 12 Americans live in California.

1 in 35 Americans live in LA County.

LA is America
That big.
