Hawley: We ought to penalize people who burn the American flag while they are committing a crime. If you do that you ought to have your prison sentence doubled. It's time to get serious with these people. It’s law and order time in America pic.twitter.com/4bkdbSxy3Q

Federalizing the National Guard without consulting the state’s governor. Sending in military troops to do law enforcement without even a color of law rationale. Authorizing federal law enforcement to kidnap people while wearing masks, carrying arms, and showing no indication of authority. Denying those seized access to family or lawyers, in effect “disappearing” them as was done in El Salvador 50 years ago (the present day connection between the Administration and that country cannot be dismissed as coincidence).Gabbard: But all of this undermining of the rule of law, these open borders, is what leads to these riots that are happening in cities across the country. pic.twitter.com/6fpWu7eyDi

Our Constitution might prohibit such things, but long experience, especially recently, suggests that it can't prevent them.
ReplyDeleteThe Constitution can’t prevent anything. Only people can. Aye, there’s the rub.
