I liked "Build The Wall and Crime Will Fall!" better.Conway makes a remarkably desperate argument for the wall: "We can all agree, every single Democrat who voted for the drug legislation last year, they have already said drugs are a problem through that vote... so when it comes to the southern border, why the big fat no?" pic.twitter.com/8AmUqqNSpV— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) January 23, 2019
WOW - Fox News host @HARRISFAULKNER presses Conway repeatedly on if Trump will sign funding legislation w/o a wall.— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) January 23, 2019
Conway isn't happy about it & tells her, "That's not realistic. I'm sorry. Respectfully."
It's unusual for Trump officials to get pushback like this on Fox News! pic.twitter.com/FpkLXu2XEC
"Not realistic"? Really?
Maybe it's just me, but I don't think the "bitchy woman" argument is a dog that'll hunt this time. Especially as the President vainly addressing an empty chamber won't be on even C-SPAN, so all complaints will be empty descriptions of the noise the tree made when it fell. And I suppose all that really matters is that Trump keep Hannity onboard:On Fox News, @KellyannePolls says she thinks it would be "remarkably petty" for Pelosi to formally disinvite Trump from delivering the State of the Union.— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) January 23, 2019
"I think fundamentally [Pelosi] is someone who doesn't always have control of her temper about the president," Conway says. pic.twitter.com/9qBRZaXulD
Immediately following the Conway interview, Fox News host @HARRISFAULKNER grills @SenRickScott on "if it's fair to hinge other people's livelihoods who work for the govt to discussions you guys should be having" and reminds him that Trump said he'd "own the shutdown." 👀👀👀 pic.twitter.com/wf3EX7LiVd— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) January 23, 2019
And while we're doing Twitter, this is precisely what witness tampering looks like:
May you live in interesting times.Recall that the president told @JudgeJeanine last weekend that media and prosecutors ought to be looking into Cohen's family, suggesting a look at private citizens. One in a series of suggestions that Cohen family be pursued that POTUS has made.— Maggie Haberman (@maggieNYT) January 23, 2019
