Somebody's been watching"The Paper Chase." My advice is to switch to "On The Basis of Sex." Much better presentation of real legal reasoning.Nancy, I am still thinking about the State of the Union speech, there are so many options - including doing it as per your written offer (made during the Shutdown, security is no problem), and my written acceptance. While a contract is a contract, I’ll get back to you soon!

Worst legal advice imaginable

Before I start laughing hysterically again, did DONALD TRUMP! really say "a contract is a contract"? I wonder what contractors he's exploited would say to that.
ReplyDeleteI never saw the movie, I hated the series(someone I was living with loved it). The only thing I remembered that I liked was when the blond guy who was the central character had it pointed out to him that as someone from the rural (mid-west, as I recall) he may have been accepted on the basis of affirmative action. Other than that it set off my allergy to Ivy.
Main focus of the movie was 1st year contracts class. The movie about RBG includes dialogue that are more perfect legal discussions (and not just the appellate court argument which I assume comes directly from the court records) than anything in"Paper Chase."
ReplyDeleteContract law has no application to the presentation of the SOTU.
I didn't know about the RGB movie.
ReplyDeleteI'm still chuckling about Trump bringing up the matter of contracts.
