Of course this would only be consistent with the broader pattern of civilization states that are digital powers scrambling to establish official theologies in order to preserve their sovereignty under digital conditions. But it underscores that the heart of the animosity today between Russia and the West's dominant ruling factions is a theological one, one concerning the character of humanity and of the soul.
I have no idea what "the restoration of it's civilization's energy of the soul" means. But I do know Reinhold Niebuhr would kick this guy's theological ass all over the football field.
It would be fun.
Kind of like giving the Tsars credit for Dostoevsky and Tolstoy, and forgetting that Dostoevsky was exiled to Siberia for subversion, and Tolstoy excommunicated from the Russian Orthodox Church.
