Participants have expressed concern that they could be met with a law enforcement crackdown if they go into Washington, DC, citing the prosecution of hundreds of people who took part in the Jan. 6, 2021 attempted insurrection. Were they all planning to bring guns?
Whatever the reason, the courage of their convictions failed:Members of the public are reminded that DC CODE: §7-2509.07 expressly prohibits anyone from carrying a firearm within 1,000 feet of any First Amendment activity, to include members of the public who have been issued a Concealed Carry Permit in the District of Columbia.

Lead organizer Brian Brase announced that he is close to obtaining a location near Washington, DC while urging his supporters to stay outside of the district. It’s not like they came all that way to risk jail for their principles. And let the record show the fear/anticipation of violence because of this “convoy” rested solely on the experience of January 6, 2021. That violence was unleashed on the conviction that the President had endorsed it, and so it would be consequence free. Now what will they do?
Or at least through Sunday night:Camped outside DC, uneasy truckers paralyzed by paranoia vow to stay until demands met https://t.co/LIqgXMbHZu

From a practical standpoint, Brase urged rallygoers to extend their hotel stays in Hagerstown through Sunday night. During his speech, Brase invited supporters to a meeting at the speedway at 8 a.m. on Sunday to discuss plans for the day. The Washington Post reported late Saturday that Brase told the newspaper the convoy will circle the Beltway twice on Sunday; Brase did not mention the plan during his remarks at the speedway on Saturday evening.I’m guessing Sunday is not the busiest day on the Beltway.
do these people not have jobs? who is paying for their expenses? food ? fuel? and all they all owner operators of their trucks? why are corporations not seizing their property? they are just going to sit and wait? hold their breaths till they turn blue or congress does what they want?
