Where is the expansion of the scope and scale of consciousness* so we can understand the universe, of which infectious diseases are certainly a part? Too inconvenient for a tweet?

Elmo doesn’t have a philosophy. Elmo is no more coherent than a ball of string. Or, to make the metaphor seasonal and more on-point: he’s no more coherent than a ball of Christmas lights. And just as useful.

*Timothy Leary called and wants Elmo to stop stealing his ideas. Especially when Elmo clearly doesn’t understand them.
