I took copious notes for lawyers and myself when I worked for a law firm and later as a lawyer. I can’t imagine not keeping notes.  The only reason not to would be because you would have to turn them over to a prosecutor who had convinced a judge to pierce the attorney-client privilege. But I never heard of that happening until Trump.

If his aides are upset, that means they know they’re caught. I mean, I don’t think Trump’s lawyers thought they were engaged in a criminal enterprise just by representing Trump.
