Or, as Mitch McConnell put it:”There’s no education in the second kick of a mule.”

Judges HATE to be reversed. I’ve been before them and they don’t like anything even “new,” because it might bite them in the ass later. And Cannon wasn’t just reversed over Trump already, the 11th Circuit turned her over their knee and paddled her; before the whole country.

She’s not gonna let that happen again. Trump was a person with special privileges the first time around. Those days are over.

For those asking why Ft. Pierce is unreasonable: there are 2 rows of benches in the courtroom, and Judge Cannon has imposed draconian media rules.

So it would hamper any press coverage.

A tiny courtroom and tight media rules? Feature, not bug. Cannon has no reason to think the press is her friend.

May was the perfect choice, actually. Not so soon that it’s unachievable. Yet early enough that even some additional postponements would still allow the case to be tried before next fall.

Trump is going to be very busy in between campaign appearances. And he’s spending all his money on lawyers, leaving not much for campaigning. Wonder how that works after the convention? There’ll still be cases to defend by then…
