...a shockingly mistaken understanding of due process by Stephen Miller. It is likely this misunderstanding that is informing the President’s misunderstanding.

The President understands as he wants to understand.

Respectfully, it’s not a misunderstanding. That dignifies it. It’s sheer will to power. This is what they want the law to be, so they’re saying that’s what the law is, and daring any court to stop them.

I go further. I think Miller thinks: “Who the fuck do the courts think they are? They can’t stop us!” And they don’t want any law. They don’t need no steenken’ badges! They got the Presidential seal.
