McCarthyism Is Back!

 The letter given to Karen Attiah explaining why she was fired by the Washington Post:

I’m confused. Was Charlie Kirk NOT a white man? He certainly reviled anyone who was not white and male (and straight). Doesn’t this letter “harm the journalistic integrity AND reputation of The Post”?

Imagine; McCarthyism twice in my lifetime. And we didn’t even need a crazed Senator ranting about commies under the bed. Just a few cranks on social media and a supine Congress. Again. And, of course, an easily terrorized media. Again.

History doesn’t repeat itself. But time is a flat circle.
