U.S. hostilities with Iran that began in February have "terminated" for purposes of the War Powers Resolution, according to a senior administration official to Reuters. "Both parties agreed to a 2-week ceasefire on Tuesday, April 7, that has since been extended…there has been no exchange of fire between U.S. Armed Forces and Iran since Tuesday, April 7."Do they think that means any further action against Iran is a wholly new one that starts a new clock?

I was listening to someone yesterday who pointed out that we are reaching the end of the oil that was already delivered and that prices will almost certainly skyrocket soon. If Trump is still alive, I'd be surprised if his poll numbers don't go below thirty by the fall.
ReplyDeleteNow the GOP clowns want to blame “the corporations” for oil prices, because America is Saudi Arabia, or something. The old “we don’t need the Strait” line again. The political reckoning is going to be historic. What the Democrats do with that is the next question.
ReplyDeleteHakeem Jeffries said 'everything is on the table' regarding Supreme Court reform, which is to my mind more significant than Impeachment 3.0, and makes me cautiously optimistic D leadership understands there is no going back to even 2024.
ReplyDeleteMore and more I see this as a Reconstruction moment. The people wanted “reform” and got MAGA and the Sinister Six. Having seen their works (and rejecting them. Who wanted to return to 1950’s Jim
DeleteCrow America?), it’s a chance to make good on what the Sixties delivered: civil and economic rights, protected by government action and Congressional attention.
