Dan Crenshaw Is An Idiot: QED

How NOT to describe the effects of a Pandemic:

“We have to pay attention to all the data, not just the scariest data,” Crenshaw opined. “The trend [of hospitalizations] is going in the right direction. Our death rate in Texas continues to be one of the best in the world actually.”
Who brags about having the "best" death rate?  Even Trump knows better.

“Simple deductive reasoning debunks this myth that reopening is what causes spikes,” the Texas Republican said. “We reopened in early may. Clay County, which is having some of the biggest spikes in the country, never really reopened.”

Simple deductive reasoning is not simple.  In Crenshaw's hands, it's not even reasoning.  Clay County has a population of 10,456 people.  Its latest coronavirus case count is 19.  I have no idea what he means by "biggest spikes in the country."  Most of those cases are probably due to being near Fort Worth, and people traveling out of the county as business reopened in June.  It's doubtful they were traveling to "massive protests."

“Okay, so what happened?” he continued. “Late May, we had massive protests, tons of people in the street and also holidays — big, big gatherings people did. There’s a layering effect that occurred. And of course there was going to be spikes.”
So was it the marches?  Or the holidays?  Or the bars?  Gov. Abbott thinks it was the bars.  Where do you get your information, Representative?  Professor Otto Yerass?
