a) his election to officeSo much else in the Fox News Sunday interview, but this dangerous statement shouldn't be ignored:— Bill Kristol (@BillKristol) July 19, 2020
"I think mail-in voting is going to rig the election."
Will you accept the results of the election: "I have to see."https://t.co/jh19GRd9NR
b) the attendance at his inauguration
c) Obama "spying" on his campaign
d) his "cognitive test"
Docs don't give a cognitive test to measure intellect. We give it to assess cognitive defects. Trump calling questions on this test difficult should raise some red flags about dementia and inability to serve. pic.twitter.com/4cAmhC5Zpu— Ankur Dave, MD (@AnkurDaveMD) July 19, 2020
e) Hunter Biden and Ukraine
f) His "investigators" in Hawaii who would be back in 2 weeks with amazing information!
.@ddale8 has a good list👇🏻 (and article in the tweet that follows it) https://t.co/TTNJaqZVcH— Brandon Richards (@bjrich_) July 19, 2020
g) I mean, if I had a dollar for everytime he made this threat:
On upcoming relief bill: "I would consider not signing it if we don’t have a payroll tax cut," Trump says.— Erica Werner (@ericawerner) July 19, 2020
You get the point.
Trump has been making this argument at least since he declared Obama a non-American by birth. I think you could trace it back further, but it's the same argument every time: what he knows is true, what you know is fake, and will he accept what you know as true? "We'll have to see." He has never accepted that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote in 2016: he says "millions of illegal immigrants" committed voter fraud. He'll make the same claims about the vote in 2020. But will he do anything about it?
Yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath. Trump always lets his mouth write checks his ass can't cash. Unless the vote count is as close as it was in 2000, will the Supremes intervene? Again, don't hold your breath. First, Trump would have to sue; second, he'd have to have something to sue about. Screaming about "millions!" of imaginary immigrants committing voter fraud on a national scale, is not evidence. Bush had the vote count in Florida to point to. Trump will have his tweets, and OAN.
It's not gonna work this time.
