I think Americans beyond Twitter are aware of that. And honestly, how the Election is being talked about, and how voters are actually voting, are always disconnected. No one knows why the election turns out as it does; the people talking about it decide that later, based on what narrative they agree about. There is no empirical analysis; it’s just what the kewl kids say that matters.We're freshly in the uncharted waters of one of our major parties being openly authoritarian. Every other issue pales in comparison and I hope that's clear to voters ahead of the midterms. Maybe it is and we're ok with fascism as long as gas is cheap. But I hope not. (3/3)
