I’d also say there’s no way Venezuela has produced 30 million barrels (it’s still the unit of measure) since Trump demanded it. Venezuela’s 2024 production was 0.9 mbd, or 900 barrels a day. At that rate, it would take 33,334 days to produce 30 million barrels.
Has it been that long?
The “senior administration official” is telling Trump what he wants to hear. What, he’s gonna ask to see the barrels? Or even the tankers?
