Not a clue in the world.Trump: They say 3% GDP growth is great. We should grow 15-20%. They stop it by announcing they are going to raise interest rates. pic.twitter.com/puvJxEviSK

250 years ago, we had a lot of slaves. It made America wealthy, as well as the biggest cotton producer in the world. (Though I doubt we ever grew at 15%. That’s the innumeracy talking. But the historical context makes him look dumber, too.)Trump: We can grow at 15%.

Kudlow: 15 is a big number.
Trump: We used to grow at 15%… when we were starting as a country we were growing because we had the right incentives. Today, we have a lot of socialism. pic.twitter.com/CoPdVCUs4r
The King of Debt, ladies and gentlemen! (And no, government deficits don’t work that way at all. He doesn’t even know the bond market exists, does he?)Trump: Interest rates should be lower. Every point is $600 billion. If we went down two points, we don't have a deficit anymore. It's just a paper charge. We should be the lowest interest rate in the world. pic.twitter.com/hXSn82kD3R

Will somebody please take the matches and kerosene away from the toddler?Trump: Switzerland is like just about the lowest. If I charged them tariffs, they would not be doing very well. I'm being very judicious to put it mildly, but this country should have the lowest interest rates pic.twitter.com/MwaiMagLyA

Government is not a business. Example 1A.Trump: We didn't make money. We had deficits with everybody and I call that a loss. A lot of people say oh, it doesn't matter, it does matter a lot. To me I call it a loss. pic.twitter.com/azYWYOd7Yq

I thought the problem was socialism and interest rates.Trump:We're looking at California too, because California is worse, but you know, if we find 50%—they've been robbing and ripping off this country for many years, decades, right? If we find 50% of what's happened, we have a balanced budget. pic.twitter.com/krIVhb7TWk

Trump: We had to do the boats first because they would go immediately to the boats. If you hit them on land, they go the boats so we do the boats first and now there are no boats… Every one of those boats that is shot down in the seas, we saved 25,000 American lives pic.twitter.com/DWGKiU12od

Periodic reminder that the president’s frequent claim that every military strike on an alleged drug boat saves 25,000 American lives makes no sense at all.

Even aside from the absence of proof for his highly contested claims that the drugs were a) fentanyl and b) heading to the US…the US recorded under 85,000 total overdose deaths last year. The president’s number is plainly absurd.
