#MTP Compressed: 2 mass shootings w/in 24 hrs, Texas politicians react, Booker blames Trump & Mulvaney blames "the people who pull the trigger." pic.twitter.com/aRijDtaC1G— Meet the Press (@MeetThePress) August 4, 2019
Mick Mulvaney went on MTP Sunday morning and denounced the panel for immediately blaming Trump for what happened, because thoughts and prayers come first. To their credit, the panel told Mulvaney where to stick it.
It almost redeemed Chuck Todd. Almost.
Of course, there's this:
To those who say it’s unfair to hold the president accountable for white supremacist shooting of Latinx folks, here’s the video. #TrumpsTerrorists #ElPaso https://t.co/HU2Ui1BEo4— Lisa Bloom (@LisaBloom) August 4, 2019
And Dan Patrick blaming "video games":
Somebody please inform @DanPatrick and the Fox & Friends crew that other countries have the same violent video games but don't have regular mass shootings. This talking point is unfathomably dumb. pic.twitter.com/wyoYqlgAVV— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) August 4, 2019
When even Ted Cruz dared use the word "terrorism" to describe the El Paso shooting:
The overlooked but significant fact is the El Paso shooter drove 600 miles from Dallas to El Paso to do his shooting. The further away you are from the border, the scarier it looks. As my Lovely Wife pointed out, most of those "Mexicans" he thought he was shooting were probably Americans. People from Mexico were in this state long before it was a state. Anglos tend to forget that, the further from the border they go..@TedCruz calls El Paso shooting a “heinous act of terrorism and white supremacy” pic.twitter.com/jm0yqFYvHH— Patrick Svitek (@PatrickSvitek) August 4, 2019
