Lite Guv. Dan Patrick Knows Which Way The Wind Blows

And even he doesn't want to be on the side of sedition. Which makes him slightly smarter than our Attorney General. Then again, the AG has no legislative role in Texas. And the only reason we elect an Attorney General is to keep the governor from appointing one.  Which seems like a bad idea left over from the 19th century Populist movement and Reconstruction; but have you seen the people Texas elects as Governor? Ann Richards is pretty much the exception that proves the rule.
