My earliest political memory is the election of LBJ to the presidency. I was excited because he was from Texas.(I was 9, whaddya want?). I got up the next morning to find out who won. These claims are so false, like laughably false to anyone who has paid actual attention to any American election, but so viral. The vote count was *never* complete on election night. Media "calls" on election night are not based on complete counts. https://t.co/yiUJQeHEZq

Been doing that ever since. Does no one else remember 2000? We didn’t know who the President was until mid-December. Despite the legal decision, the country survived.
This assertion is the same memory-hole bullshit that makes pundits rely on polls every two years (or ignore elections without “enough” polling), and pretend whatever happens proves the polls were correct. Or, you know, will be next time.
Funny how often there are two sides to the coin.
