Yes, it is. It’s also inconsistent to expect defense lawyers in a jury trial to say: “THANK YOU, SIR! MAY I HAVE ANOTHER?!”

I mean, Proud Boys are bad people, but the burden is on the state to make their case.  It’s not incumbent on the Proud Boys to “own it.” That’s the state’s job.

Not unlike being transparent in the face of a criminal investigation.

This is pretty basic to our system of justice.
