It’s pretty clear the adults are not in charge.

Remember the “debacle” of the Afghanistan withdrawal? It was supposed to go like a movie ending (heroic white make Americans looking stern as they saved all the brown people from evil just before the credits rolled), but instead went like real life and “What does this mean politically for Biden?”

The opportunity to answer that question came in the midterms, and the answer was: “Nothing.”  Because people forgot? Or because it was never an issue except for pundits who forget, too?
