Trump won't stop his social media rants until the judge addresses it: Trump aides say https://t.co/w0yAoRNGW6

“He’ll share what he feels is necessary, and if she has a problem with it, [she] will address it,” a Trump adviser told CNN, referring to Judge Tanya S. Chutkan.Other sources close to the former president explained that he says he's being targeted unfairly by the judicial system, and he talks about it on social media to tell people about his "injustice."
I freely admit: I thought he was smarter than this.
He isn't.
Judge Chutkan has already indicated she'll "address it" by moving the trial date up. Nothing in the Speedy Trial Act (I don't know about case law, which would change things) says the trial can't be set for Hallowe'en.
At least Trump couldn't complain then about the Iowa caucuses.

Jeebus does not love me this much."It will be a very important point...whether [Willis]...will seek pre-trial detention. I'm with @AWeissmann_ it's impossible to think that would happen and yet, the letter of the law seems to point strongly towards it" - @harrylitman on Fulton County case w/ @NicolleDWallace pic.twitter.com/1kLJNrNbMX

Appreciate the effort, but Trump is taking care of that all by himself. My colleagues, former Republican Administration officials, and I filed this amicus brief today in United States v. Donald Trump, urging that the Federal District Court schedule a speedy and expeditious trial for the former president.
