TeeVee Reality πŸ“Ί

(Trump is immune. Seal Team 6 is not. Although I suppose they could expect Trump to pardon them. But would that extend to the Navy overlooking their violations of the UCMJ?) (And yes, I know it’s satire. Some people seem to think satire and reality are now co-terminous. I don’t, but they do.) That one’s real; kind of. And Trump is going to evade advice and consent (I do wonder if the Senate would remove him for that. “This time, it’s personal!”).* He’s also going to "enact draconian, across-the-board tariffs; begin massive roundups and deportations of law-abiding 'dreamers;' repeal the Affordable Care Act and major bipartisan legislation passed under President Joe Biden; and enact a new round of massive tax cuts for big corporations and wealthy individuals." It’s like we live in a TeeVee version of reality. Or Very Serious People think we do.

Who are these pundits, and why do we listen to them?
It’s pretty clear the majority of the electorate doesn’t.

Obviously this is all the Democrats’ fault.

*No, I don’t think he will get to evade the Constitution. Thune or Cornyn will probably continue McConnell’s practice of pro forma sessions to prevent recess appointments (Trump famously elevated “interim” replacements, but I think the interims have to replace appointed replacements). A) they’ll do it because the Senate has a tradition of independence from the House and the White House; and B) because Cruz is not signing on to support Trump’s pick for Leader, which is pissing MAGA off. So I think the race is between Thune and Cornyn.

  1. I like how one of Putin's #2s said that Trump had help from "certain forces" to win the election and now he has to deliver what they want. I don't think he was talking about Truckers fur Trump or Bottle Blondes For Trump when he said that. I'm taking this as proof positive that the pee-videos exist and Trump knows about them.
