...which is to say, at all:

1) Musk, as usual, is an idiot.

2) “Autism Capital” says Trump will sign an EO for tariffs while in the inauguration stand. 

3) Is that even the right mechanism?

4) Trump says he’s had “many talks with China.” Name two. Also: he tried this last time (imposing tariffs on China). Obviously it didn’t work. 

5) Trump is not imposing 50% tariffs. He says he’s adding 10% atop “existing tariffs.” Somebody told him what high tariffs would do to the economy he’s now responsible for.

6) “Thank you for your attention to this matter.” Does he think this is how it’s done? Strong “Invoke P!” vibes here. It didn’t work during COVID, it won’t work now. Trump is supposed to “have learned,” but did he? He’s surrounding himself with ideologues who think government is just a “Game of Thrones,” and they have the dragons. 🐉 

Who’s going to explain to him how to actually raise tariffs on China, and impose them on Canada and Mexico (I guess NAFTA just evaporated? Didn’t he negotiate a new and improved NAFTA? What happened to that?)?

If people would stop jumping every time Trump screams “FROG!”, we’d better enjoy the holidays.
