Occam's Shave Cream

Trump isn't that smart. He's not the blind hog that has stumbled upon an acorn due to his preternatual sense of smell, or animal political cunning (in Trump's case).  And what "overall" trend has R's "noticing that state-by-state gerrymandering may not be good for them"? Has the RNC come out in support of this ruling by the NC Supreme Court?

But aside from the dubious premise, Trump only understands what benefits Trump, and attacking McConnell benefits Trump (or so he thinks).  He blamed McConnell (not Pence!) for Pence telling the truth about the ECA and the joint session on January 6, 2021.  Now he blames McConnell for state legislatures doing what state legislatures do:  drawing districts that benefit their party.  How you could begin to legislate that out of existence is beyond my comprehension, like drawing a square circle or a four-dimensional cube (a tesseract).  Trump isn't noticing anything:  he's claiming that only Democrats are gerrymandering, and McConnel is weak because he isn't preventing it.

All Trump is really doing is feeding the narrative that the elections are rigged so why should Trump supporters bother with voting?  Which is a narrative I'm just fine with.
