Declaration Of Incompetence

5-7 million turned out for "No Kings". The ballroom is not winning friends and (positively) influencing people. The economy is a winning subject all around: The ranchers are breaking ranks.

Call me crazy, but I think Trump is freaking out. I mean full bull goose looney Captain Queeg freaking out.

In fact, factory employment in America is at the lowest level it's been in five years. This next one is staggering. The Center for Automotive Research in the U.S. says that President Trump’s tariffs on autos will raise the costs for American automakers by nearly 108 billion U.S. dollars in 2025. These kinds of enormous costs on businesses result in two outcomes: higher prices for American consumers and fewer jobs for American workers—and inflation on the backs of American workers.

I know we’re supposed to be afraid, be very afraid, but the only power Trump has is puffing out his frill to look large and dangerous. It’s like Steve Bannon saying Trump will have a third term because Trump is an instrument of divine providence.* (Yeah, right.) Or Trump will send in the NG to disrupt midterm voting (the supposed logistics of that are purely Trumpian, and exist solely in the fevered imaginations of people who want you to be afraid.) Noise for the outrage machine.
When all else fails, start a war.
He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

*Bannon just wants the attention. If he doesn’t say something outrageous, no one listens. He’s a troll IRL.
