Deja Vu All Over Again

Funny the DOJ presented no evidence of this, in two court hearings in Portland. The only evidence they did have was blather like this from Trump, and the court found that “untethered from reality.” Which is a polite euphemism fur “utter bullshit.”

This, by the way, would be evidence:
I also remember all those 60+ cases that failed in 2020 because neither Trump nor anyone on his behalf could present any evidence sufficient to raise a fact question that could survive a motion to dismiss.

And then Miller makes it too easy.
Speaking of “too easy:”
Reporter: Would you make a deal with them on A.C.A. Subsidies?

Trump: If we made the right deal. I’d make a deal. Sure. You have subsidies, that's the problem with Obamacare. The subsidies are so much, billions and billions of dollars are is being wasted. We could have a much better health care than we have right now.
It’s known as “Medicare for All.” Which is much better than Trump’s plan, which is: wish in one hand and piss in the other. And call that hand a bottle of champagne.

That’s just the prelude.
Etc., etc., etc. I remember when the ACA passed and Republicans like McConnell lamented that it would be as cemented in to American life as SS and Medicare. And so it is. And this is a feature, not a bug. The GOP wants this to happen.

All the pundits tut-tutting about Democratic messaging over the shutdown and whether voters will remember events a year from now are utterly missing the forest for the trees. This is already happening (ACA renewal time, like Medicare, is upon us). Come November. 1, these increase kick in.

Why the shutdown happened, and who did what about, are gonna get lost in the shitstorm.
