The next time I'm pulled over for speeding I'll explain to the officer that everybody exceeds the speed limit, and ask him if he's ever told a lie (proving he's a known liar!), and point out that the traffic laws are a "morass of misdemeanors, felonies, crimes, non-crimes with exceptions," and that every driver on the road has "violated some technical [traffic] law."
I'm sure it will serve me well in traffic court. Maybe I'll hire Alan Dershowitz instead; the President hasn't advised against that yet!

Sauce for the goose, dude. Besides, we have the Stormy Daniels paperwork; there really isn't a doubt who paid her to keep quiet, or why she was paid when she was. Or is Rudy Giuliani a liar, too? Charlie Pierce is right: "the best people" is never not funny.
Dershowitz then lashed out at Michael Cohen, saying “the only evidence that the president has done anything wrong comes from a man who is admitted to be a liar.” (Michael Cohen taped conversations with the president, which would appear to solve this perceived problem.)*
“Every campaign has violated some technical campaign law,” he said.
Dershowitz poses as if he's upholding principle in this but I've seen enough of that lying sleazball to know he never does anything out of principle. In wondering at the possible reasons for him to have put a torch to the house of straw that his image always has been, I can think of only three things that would get him to do this, a. fame-money, b. some wacky Israel angle, c. the rumors implicating him in sex crimes that Trump is involved in has something behind it. It might be something else or anything else in combination with one or more of those but one thing that it clearly isn't, something to do with principle and integrity because The Dersh ain't not any, he's on the verge of demonstrating that he's as deficient in those as The Mooch did.
