How is this so close???

Too close, still very sad.

Relieved Warnock won, but please don’t make the mistake of starting the whole “this proves America has rejected the right wing extremism” narrative—it doesn’t. Herschel Walker is a braindead fool who had 900 scandals and he still barely lost.

C'mon down to Texas. It's been that way here for almost 40 years. And for almost 100 years before that, it was that way for Democrats, both in Texas and across the South. Georgia actually shows that death grip of one-party rule is fading. Would that I could say the same for Texas.I say this because Walker was the worst candidate I’ve ever seen. That he could pull this close signals that Rep voters have extended the unconditional support that Trump claimed when he said he could shoot someone on 5th Ave & not lose a vote to all genl election Rep. candidates.

All the hand wringers because so much of Georgia voted for Walker are rather hard to distinguish from Trump. It's always a terrible shock when you realize the rest of the world doesn't think, or vote, like you. Come to Texas and spend a few decades with me; you finally get over it. And besides, as I was saying....Why is it this close? Why?

But as the old saying goes, if wishes were horses, beggars would ride. Or, as the GOP is (finally!) learning, and as they used to say in the Lege when Molly Ivins was covering it: "You gotta dance with the one what brung ya." And back when the GOP brought Goldwater, the apotheosis of that decision was Trump. Besides, political history is full of "what if." More races are won by narrow margins than by landslides. This is a fact worth noting. https://t.co/tEpprzrTCY
