Especially when he proves our great minds think alike. OTOH:Not abt personalities, or trust or policy. It's the post-2009 GOP. It's the structure of the party, a failed state, to paraphrase @saletan, and now without a dominant warlord. https://t.co/pmNEP8FOUz

What is his threshold for "full of shit"? I've realized Chip Roy was full of shit since he first ran for Congress. Maybe being in the same geographic state as Roy has given me deeper insight. Or maybe I just tend to take people at their word, as in "When a man tells you who he is, believe him." Chip has always told me he was full of it. Then again, he worked for Ted Cruz, so maybe I made the head start there.I think we can see that Chip Roy is pretty full of shit. And I wasn't sure that was the case, in this very limited sense. He cld have shifted his vote to at least signal that the negotiations were meaningful. He didn't. That tells the story.

Matt Gaetz: [Votes for Trump for Speaker]
Every cloud has a silver lining.unless something changes, Trump will be the low vote getter in this speaker vote. will lose resoundingly!
— Jake Sherman (@JakeSherman) January 5, 2023
And every silver lining has a cloud. It's a good thing nobody watches CNN. This, by the way, seems to be where we are:Jesus, the CNN panel, led by Axelrod, is swinging toward asking the D’s to compromise for the good of the country.
