McCarthy Loses A Vote As Victoria Spartz Votes Present https://t.co/Hn8GRMFHYK

Conservatives Are Holding Onto McCarthy Opposition
The fourth roll call, vote — first of the day — just started, but Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) already has seven votes cast for him.
As a reminder, if McCarthy loses more than four Republican votes he will fall under the 218 votes he needs to become the new House speaker.
So, ballot four will likely end with no conclusion on who the speaker will be once again.
So Much For The Just Keep Voting Strategy
Didn’t exactly sound like political genius earlier in the day, doesn’t look like political genius now. Fourth vote going similarly to the first three.

McCarthy Offers A Thumbs Up As His Fourth Try Fails
He gamely smiled as some in the chamber applauded after he voted for himself.
Honestly, that's all he has to offer his party or his country. This is falling quickly and securely on his shoulders.
Rep. Donalds name was put into nomination, and he voted for himself. McCarthy is turning this process into his walk of shame.but these continuous votes aren’t working for anyone. When the dust settles, we will have a Republican Speaker, now is the time for our conference to debate and come to a consensus.(2/3)

And the lagniappe:Pelosi adamant about Dems not helping House GOP out of its speaker mess. “This is a problem of their own making. This is called leadership. They should be able to work it out. Don’t put this at the Democrats’ doorstep.” https://t.co/A4hIULYSxi
