Biden Really Shouldn’t Have Issued All Those Preemptive Pardons

I msan, what could happen to them?
A conservative activist who has been on the board of a group supporting Jan. 6 defendants has been named interim U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C., the position that has overseen the hundreds of cases brought in the Capitol siege investigation. Ed Martin will be the interim chief, Trump Justice Department official Chad Gilmartin told NBC News. Martin was a prominent member of the "Stop the Steal" movement. In a speech at the Capitol on Jan. 5, 2021, he called on "die-hard true Americans" to work until their "last breath" to "stop the steal."
"Conservative activist” is putting it mildly:
"He launched this really intense investigation into who set up those gallows, and then because this person who he called 'Mr. Coffee' vaguely walked in the direction north just vaguely of the FBI field office, he surmised, and presented in this video that that was an individual who set up the gallows, and was the FBI behind all of this?" Reilly said. "So just a bunch of, like, internet garbage essentially here compiled together, put forward as some sort of argument which would never even come near, coming up to the standard for a court of law."
Still, Biden’s pardons were very upsetting.

  1. Glenn Kirshner bemoaned the bad precedent set by Biden pardoning the innocent, lawyers are such suckers for such scruples even as such scruples are only felt by the side that sets them aside one after another after another. As it's lawyers, judges and "justices" who are among those foremost among those breakers of scruples, lawyers who don't take that as a given aren't helping things.
