"Your Honor, the government submits OMB Memorandum M-25-14, which rescinds OMB Memorandum M-25-13. That memorandum is no longer in effect, but the Presidebtial EO’s freezing federal funding are because King ‘X’ and droit de seigneur, and Presidential immunity and you only enjoined the OMB memo Hah! Fooled ya! And besides your injunction is invalid because you didn’t say “Mother, may I?”This is NOT a rescission of the federal funding freeze.

It is simply a rescission of the OMB memo.
Why? To end any confusion created by the court's injunction.
The President's EO's on federal funding remain in full force and effect, and will be rigorously implemented.
1. The executive orders did *not* freeze federal funding.
2. The Monday OMB memo *did* freeze federal funding.
3. OMB rescinded Monday’s memo, thereby rescinding the funding freeze.
4. The EOs (which did not freeze federal funding) are still in effect—and, for these purposes, irrelevant.
Sigh.Meanwhile, the monkey is still chasing the weasel around the mulberry bush:
I’m not saying the Professor is wrong,”; but neither is AG James:In court just now, the states are introducing @PressSec tweet saying the funding freeze is still active as evidence that their lawsuit should continue.

This is just more confusion and chaos.

We will be in court this afternoon. https://t.co/RpC6e6dzuM
A) CALLED IT! (🤦♂️)On the White House rescinding the memo, aides say it is not an end to the intended freeze of federal funding that clashes with Trump's worldviews.
— Jennifer Jacobs (@JenniferJJacobs) January 29, 2025
It's meant to get around the court injunction.
White House aides think the memo did what they wanted: make US govt officials aware they shouldn't fund initiatives that go against Trump's EOs and directives.https://t.co/ThI2pvHK9j
Your Honor, I would like to introduce a tweet from the White House Press Secretary where she is assuring Trump supporters that rescinding the memo was just done to fool you. https://t.co/l1wru94b8g
