Maine has the geographical advantage of bordering only New Hampshire which has a Republican of the Sununu family as governor, one of the reasons the cases are going up there. If we still had Paul LePage as governor and the Republican-fascist state legislature he started with, it would probably look more like North Dakota at this point. I'm looking forward to the Constitutional amendment here that will make all of our offices rank-choice so the last ever choice for a majority for governor never again manages to become a 38% governor. I'm also looking forward to redistricting under Democrats in lieu of non-partisan commissions instead of legislatures doing it. I wonder what Ohio would be like if it wasn't crookeder than Louisiana nowadays.
