Trump has gotten in a car so he can wave to supporters outside Walter Reed. As you can see from footage, this meant multiple agents riding in a car with Trump while he carries the coronavirus pic.twitter.com/FIk4CtApnu

That Presidential SUV is not only bulletproof, but hermetically sealed against chemical attack. The risk of COVID19 transmission inside is as high as it gets outside of medical procedures. The irresponsibility is astounding. My thoughts are with the Secret Service forced to play.

By taking a joy ride outside Walter Reed the president is placing his Secret Service detail at grave risk. In the hospital when we go into close contact with a COVID patient we dress in full PPE: Gown, gloves, N95, eye protection, hat. This is the height of irresponsibility.

A COVID infected individual just made Secret Service personnel risk their lives by sitting in a car with him so he could do a cruise around the block. https://t.co/sRuKhmuAKV

Imagine being hospitalized with the virus that has killed 200,000 Americans on your watch and being like, You know what? Let’s take this show on the road!

"I learned a lot about Covid. I learned it by really going to school. This is the real school. This isn't the let's-read-the-books school. And I get it, and I understand it and it's a very interesting thing" - President Trump https://t.co/BsWpdaOg9d

Except he didn’t have an infectious pandemic disease then. He’s walking out of Walter Reed to be seen by the crowd. https://t.co/xSZVcA4R76

This “surprise” COVID parade at Walter Reed came more than two hours after the White House called a lid at 3pm today.

Apparently there was some speculation Trump might be returning to the White House (by car this time). That's not the reassuring sign you might expect it to be:This tweet from awhile back is apropos right now, as staff/others contend with limited information https://t.co/sIuXUQlqxG

Sunday morning, CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta said that it wasn’t a good idea for Trump to return so quickly to the White House. The staff of the building doesn’t just include his top aides and advisers but also includes cafeteria staff, the White House chef, personal butlers and others under the roof of the building.Walter Reed’s presidential suite, however, allows Trump to do all of the work necessary from the hospital, in an area that is safer for all of those around him.
They took him out for a little ride.

That’s adorable.
I hope they appreciate it if Biden treats the with respect and as if he thinks their lives, the lives of their families and co-workers are important.
