Not familiar with Prince's music so no comment on that. Bob Dylan is someone I think of whenever I hear Brueggemann talk about the poetry of the Prophets.

ReplyDeleteLooking back on his work, it’s a secret hiding in plain sight.
Prince I have no complaint with; I just don’t see his importance against Dylan’s. I’m not a Dylan fan, even; but I recognize his value. And I agree with you about poetry and the Prophets; it’s a good connection to Dylan.
