Will It Allow Me To Control A Flying Arrow?

If not, why bother?

Wait?  Aren't we supposed to be afraid of microchips?

He wants to develop a chip that would allow the brain to control complex electronic devices and eventually allow people with paralysis to regain motor function and treat brain diseases such as Parkinson’s, dementia and Alzheimer’s. He also talks of melding the brain with artificial intelligence.*

But I still don't want it unless it comes with a flying arrow.

*Something Cartesian about that. Which I'm pretty sure he doesn't understand.

(I am assured the headline is fake, and it was only a 35% mortality rate. I don't understand why human trials haven't started yet.)
