The Supremes could have left Trump alone. Turns out, the voters gave the President criminal immunity.
Not really a surprise. America has a history of electing convicted felons to public office. Despite the two criminal cases, one criminal conviction, three civil convictions (the latter three continuing despite Fitzgerald; just ask Bill Clinton), Trump was elected.
Merrick Garland was not tardy. He was never our salvation. The majority of voters just didn’t care.
Because they are petulant children still pissed about the long gone pandemic? π· Because they are brainwashed by a cable TV news channel in an age when cable subscriptions are declining? Because all of America listens to Joe Rogan? Because, against all evidence, they are all on Twitter? Because nobody really listens to Taylor Swift, only to her music?
Nobody knows. I’m sticking with my answer.
