After this election; but I can’t give up Tex-Mex.
Seriously. Lived in Missouri and Illinois for five years. My withdrawal symptoms were only abated by the Mexican food I found in the Chicago suburbs.
Stuff is like crack cocaine. Couldn’t give it up if I wanted to.
I have a feeling that Canadians wouldn't welcome an onslaught of Americans right now. Sometimes I wish I had moved there when my Latin teacher encouraged me to go to grad school there. But I'd miss my family. I don't think it would help, the racism in this country is a lot deeper and worse than I'd thought before yesterday and I wasn't very sanguine about it then. Despair is not an option. I have been going through two or three Psalms a day, if you think about it it's better than seeing a shrink, you're not going to get prescribed mind deadening pills, for a start.
