99% of America, asked about this, would answer: “Say what, now?” The DOGE caucus (a real thing in the House) just got told Trump is not really interested in them or Musk. The new deal still has almost everything in it that Musk railed about. But it is even worse with raising the debt ceiling. From a DOGE perspective, this is worse. Now we find out if Musk really means what he says - because now he’s on the opposite side of Trump on the substance. pic.twitter.com/JY9qciEnUd

Yeah, they didn’t get the message. Or what they wanted for Xmas.π Elmo also found out he has as much clout in D.C. as the DOGE caucus does. And Trump continues to love debt! The House Republican leadership is going to vote on this bill on suspension of the rules.
For those who dont Congress like we do at @PunchbowlNews , suspension requires 2/3 majority.
Meaning they will need A LOT of Dems to vote for it in order to pass it.
When it fails -- and it will, most likely -- the GOP leadership will go to Rules and get a rule and then vote on it again.
The second time will be under a simple majority as long as they can get a rule out of the Rules Committee. The first vote allows them to see who is against it and whip it.
