The president of the Utah State Senate, who had pushed for the huge data center next to the Great Salt Lake, was also defeated in his primary Tuesday night.

This especially shocking result saw J. Stuart Adams, one of the longest-serving and most powerful politicians in Utah, lose a primary he had easily won multiple times before.
