Oddly, this is not driving traffic to Truth Social.
According to the New York Times, despite the ever-present media attention that his policy pronouncements and personal attacks on the site attract, traffic to the social media platform has collapsed at an alarming rate this summer.

Monthly visitors to the platform declined approximately 36 percent compared to the previous year, according to Similarweb, an online traffic tracking firm, the Times reported, adding, "Monthly visitors to the site fell by a slightly greater amount in June, compared with last year."

By contrast, larger social media competitors including X and Threads posted higher visitor numbers during the same period.

...

Similarweb data shows the disparity starkly. For the first seven months of 2025, Truth Social averaged 28 million monthly visits. For the same period in 2026, the average dropped to 25 million visits.

Howard Polskin, publisher of the newsletter "theRighting," which monitors right-wing media, expressed surprise at the severity of the decline.

"I have been following traffic to Truth Social for years and I am really struck by the steepness of the plunge," Polskin told the Times. "When you think of how much Trump uses Truth Social as a megaphone you would think the numbers would be skyrocketing."
Yes, you’d certainly think. Then again, Nate Silver (remember him? The “winged with awe, inviolable”? “Aiee, aiee! Slow on the leash! Pallid the leash men!”) says that, as of August 7, Trump’s approval rating is -20.6. Yes, negative.

Few people care what he has to say. Even fewer want to pay for it.
The traffic collapse arrives "at a critical time" for Trump Media. Last month, the company launched a controversial premium service offering Wall Street traders instantaneous access to Trump's posts—a product positioned to provide subscribers trading advantages. Trump Media charges companies up to $100,000 monthly for the early access, but only ten firms have signed up so far, according to the report.
Imagine paying $1.2 million annually to get a 5 second advance on the world for a message like that. Or this: I’m sure those companies will consider that money well spent. Especially when most of what Trump is selling is early notice about his next decision in Iran.
