Approximately 2.8 million people aged 13 and older—1.0% of the U.S. population in that age group—identify as transgender, according to new estimates from the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law. This includes about 724,000 youth aged 13 to 17 (3.3% of youth) and around 2.1 million adults aged 18 and older (0.8% of adults).

Odds are Burchett doesn’t know a transgendered person; or knows someone who knows a transgendered person. Personally, I mean.

That he thinks if it as an “explosion” means it disturbs his sense of identity. He is literally upset by the thought of such persons being in the world with him. It threatens his sense of self.  It’s simply a mark of immaturity.

It’s essential that you find common ground with Trump supporters. For instance, you know that you have many flaws, and they believe you are less than human. Work with that.
