In The Future, Every Famous Person Will Be Stupid for 15 Minutes

"A chance?" Stewart replied. "There's a novel respiratory coronavirus overtaking Wuhan, China, what do we do? Oh, you know, who we could ask? The Wuhan novel respiratory coronavirus lab. The disease is the same name as the lab! That's just a little too weird!"

Uh....

“This is COVID-19, not COVID-1 folks, and so you would think the people charged with the World Health Organisation facts and figures would be on top of that.”

  1. If you don't think I'll use your title sometime . . . well, I always give credits. Jon S. has been in show biz too long. Show biz makes people nutty. I wouldn't conclude that I have anything like the competence in molecular biology to understand the science of the investigation but from what I've read, it's a mighty thin reed he's putting is faith in.

    1. I need a better argument than “The disease is the same name as the lab.” So a lab studying AIDS is necessarily creating an AIDS virus?

That’s Donald Trump “thinking.” It’s not that Trump is contagious; it’s that we’re all susceptible to the same failures in reasoning. Trump should have been a lesson for the rest of us to look to our own thoughts a bit more critically.
