The impact of weather on elections can be overrated but windchill forecasts of -33 to -40 across Iowa at 6pm on Monday is no joke. pic.twitter.com/XFlvP5g5gE

No possibility of early voting (the Texas primary is March 5th. Early voting is available from February 20th to March 1st. Mail-in ballots are also available.). So weather is the most important factor. For a sense of how bad the weather is in Iowa right now, the bishop of Des Moines has said Catholics don’t have to attend mass tomorrow pic.twitter.com/owvQeosfPR

I’ve been through a blizzard once. In Oklahoma, almost on the Kansas border. I was a kid, I just thought the snow was cool. I found out later my parents were terrified, but determined to spend Xmas with family; and we were lucky to arrive. I don’t think blizzards are to be trifled with.
So caucuses are for the crazy, anyway. Texas Democrats caucus on primary day, after the polls. Mostly for the privilege of being a convention delegate. Most primary voters don’t know and don’t care. Arguably caucuses have their value, but how representative are they? And Iowa? Iowa is just bragging rights until the first primary where you might actually get a representative turnout.
Voting in a blizzard?π₯Ά MAGA is that hardcore, I’m sure. I’m also sure that’s what Biden-Harris are counting on.
Not that the GOP has a deep bench to begin with.
Yeah, this’ll tell us something about November…“This is the worst weather I’ve ever seen” ahead of a caucuses, Iowa radio host Steve Deace says as he speaks warm-up at DeSantis event in W DSM
